Transcript Request Process

Purpose

The article provides all the details current students and alumni need to submit an official request for their transcripts.

If you are an alumnus, you will need to reactivate your UTD ID to be able to log in to galaxy and officially request your transcripts. Below are all the links and instructions you need to ensure you are on the right track.

Current students who have access to their NetID credentials can skip to the Access Galaxy portal section of the article.

Note: All students must read the instructions on the registrar’s site.

Submit a Reactivation Form - Alumni

  • The reactivation form is submitted to gain temporary access to your UTD account.
  • Navigate to access the Registrar Office’s Official Transcripts page. Scroll down to open the Former Student Reactivation Request form.
  • Fill in all the details as requested on the form as shown below. Click Submit.

  • If there are any errors or issues while submitting or accessing the form, please contact transcripts@utdallas.edu with the following information:
    • Full name while attending UTD
    • Date of birth
    • Last year enrolled
    • Program/major
    • A course you took in your final semester
    • First year you attended UTD
    • A prior institution you attended, if applicable
    • Any other information you feel could help us tie you to a student record on file

Reset Password and Duo

  • Students who have submitted the form will be notified within 1-2 business days via email from NetIDServices@utdallas.edu that their account is active.
    1. Remember the account is only active for 90 days after the Reactivation Form is submitted, after which another form will need to be submitted.
    2. If students do not receive an email, they can go ahead and reset their password here and follow the instructions in KA 27 to set up their new password.
Note: If the student encounters issues resetting NetID Password, contact the OIT Help Desk via phone (972-883-2911) or live chat between 7 am-11 pm seven days a week, except on certain holidays.
  • If users need to set up Duo Authentication, please follow the instructions at KA 344 to enroll in Duo.
  • If users have Duo and need to add or reactivate a new device or phone number, please follow the instructions on KA 4.

Access Galaxy Portal

  • Once the account is reactivated, and the password is set up, navigate to the UTD Galaxy Webpage and click on Orion to sign in.

  • Once you log in to Orion, ensure you are in the UTD Student Center by clicking on the drop-down menu on the top left. Select My Academics.

  • Choose Order Official Transcript from the options on the left side of your screen.

  • Your screen will open a new tab for the necessary form to be filled out and submitted.
