Who Can Access the VPN?

The UT Dallas VPN service, GlobalProtect, is automatically available for the following users:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Student Employees
  • PHD Students

Students will be provisioned for VPN access only if they are enrolled in a course requiring VPN access. Faculty will set whether their course requires VPN access during registration. All other users, such as Applicants or Guests, are not automatically provided VPN access.

Users who are not automatically provided VPN access will only be provided access with a completed PEARL request. The users department must submit the Department Sponsored VPN Request.
