How to Color Code Folders in Microsoft OneDrive

How to Color Code Folders in Microsoft OneDrive

With Microsoft OneDrive, you have the ability to customize and personalize all of your files, including your file folders. One way that you can do so is with color coordination.

  • To color coordinate your folders in OneDrive, all you need to do is right click on the folder itself, and towards the bottom of the list that appears, there is an option to choose the Folder color.

  • You get the choice between 16 color options. You can use these colors to color-coordinate your folders based on their contents.

  • This feature in OneDrive, however, only allows the color of a file folder to be changed. You cannot sort your files based on color. The easiest way to view color coded files is to use the Tiles view, which enlarges the folder itself.
