Change your Microsoft Teams Status (Presence)

Purpose

Presence is part of a user's profile in Microsoft Teams (and throughout Microsoft 365 or Office 365) that indicates the user's current availability and status to other users. Anyone can see (in nearly real-time) if other users are available online since the status updates automatically based on your activity. This article provides information on how to change your Microsoft teams status.

Changing your Status

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and click on your Initials or Profile picture (if you have one set) on the top right.

  1. Hover over your current status, and a pop-up will open where you can select a new status.
