Teams will now support Chat with Self, a way to send yourself messages, images, files and do everything you can in a regular chat.

Context

Teams will now support Chat with Self, a way to send yourself messages, images, files and do everything you can in a regular chat. Chat with Self is a space just for you. You can try out new features within the confines of a safe sandbox, send notes to yourself, share content with yourself to be able to access it easier across your different devices, and more.

Accessing Chat with Self

  • Feature will show up automatically in your Pinned chat lists.
    • You can decide to keep or remove it from Pinned chats.

  • Once chat is opened, you can click the Files to view the shared files with yourself or your Name at the top to preview Organization, Activity, or LinkedIn.

Note: If Chat with Self is removed, the chat will live in the Chat list. For easy finding, select New chat, type in your name, and start chatting with yourself again. You can also go to your People card and start a chat from there.
