New Teams Voicemail

Objective

Voicemail setup process for an individual user in New Teams.

Voicemail Setup 

  1. Click on the (...) More options icon in the main Teams application Window (top right corner) and select Settings.

  2. In the Calls tab, go to Manage Voicemail section.
  3. From there, click on Record a greeting and set various voicemail rules.

Access Voicemail Messages 

Voicemail messages left for an individual user will display in the New Teams application. To navigate to your voicemail messages, go to the Calls icon and select Voicemail
Teams Calls listing All Calls and Voicemail.Voicemail messages are delivered to your email inbox. Microsoft Teams is referencing the message in your email; if you delete the message in your email, it will delete in Teams app. Users have the option to install Microsoft Teams app on their personal smart phones to access to voicemail messages where they are. Pin numbers are not used in Microsoft Teams.

Note: Voicemail messages left on a department or mainline are only delivered to email, they will not appear in Teams. 

 

Voicemail Message Missing/ Unable to play?

There can be an instance where a Voicemail on Teams is missing or unable to play. This can be caused when the call is spam from an external number. Keep in mind if the message was deleted in Outlook it will also be deleted in Teams
