How to Recover Deleted Emails on Microsoft 365

Purpose

This article shows you the steps needed to recover deleted emails on M365.

Steps

  • Open Outlook, select the Deleted Items folder.
  • Right-click on the item that you would like to recover and select Restore.
  • If you do not have the option for Restore, select Move > Inbox.
  • There might be some emails that you cannot find in the "Deleted Items" folder.
    • If so, select Recover items deleted from this folder to go to Recoverable Items.

  • Search for the message in this folder, right-click on the selected items, and select Restore.
  • If you do not have the option for Restore when right-clicking, select the item and select Restore in the panel on the right (where the email message would show).
