Setup Your Microsoft 365 Email on Mac Mail

Purpose 

This article provides information to set up your Microsoft 365 email on your Mac mail. Microsoft 365 Email is supported in Mac Mail on MacOS 10.14 or higher.

Email Setup

  1. Open Apple Mail.
Note: If this is the first time, a Wizard will start to walk you through the setup and you can skip to Step 4. If you already use Apple Mail, you will need to manually add a new account.
  1. From the Mail menu, choose Add Account.
  2. Select Exchange.

  1. In the “Add Account” dialog box, enter your name as you want it to appear and your full UTD email address (in the format NetID@utdallas.edu) and click Sign In.

  1. Click Sign In again.

  1. Enter your NetID password.

  1. Authenticate by Duo.

  1. Mail will find the server settings online and set you up for an Exchange account.
    • Select what Apple applications you would like to sync with your UTD Microsoft 365 account and click Done.
