Setup Your Microsoft 365 Email on Mac Mail

Purpose 

This article provides information to set up your Microsoft 365 email on your Mac mail. Microsoft 365 Email is supported in Mac Mail on MacOS 10.14 or higher.

Email Setup

  1. Open Apple Mail.
    Apple Mail App icon.
Note: If this is the first time adding an account to the Apple Mail App, a Wizard will start to walk you through the setup and you can skip to Step 4. If you already use Apple Mail app, you will need to manually add a new account.
  1. From the Mail menu, choose Add Account.
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange.

Choose a mail account provider window with options including iCloud, Exchange, Google, Yahoo, Aol and Others.

  1. In the “Add Account” dialog box, enter your name as you want it to appear and your full UTD email address (in the format NetID@utdallas.edu) and click Sign In.

  1. Click Sign In again.

  1. Enter your NetID credentials.

  1. Authenticate by Duo.

  1. Click Accept for Permissions Requested.

  2. Mail will find the server settings online and set you up for an Exchange account.
    • Select what Apple applications you would like to sync with your UTD Microsoft 365 account and click Done.
