You can view the version history of Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel workbooks in their respective applications.
- Login to OneDrive (web version).
- Click My files to find the document of your choice.
- Select Show Actions icon (...) or right-click on the File you would like to see the version history for.
- At the bottom of the drop-down menu, select Version History.
- A menu will appear with the previous versions of the selected document.
- Select Show Actions icon (...) or right-click on the version you would like to restore.
- Click on Restore.
- Select Ok if you receive a confirmation message.
Note: Files are recoverable in OneDrive for up to 30 days. After this time, they are not recoverable by UTD or Microsoft.
- Login to OneDrive.
- Select Recycle Bin from the panel options.
- Click or right-click on the you would like to restore and select Restore from the top banner.
Note: If you deleted the files or folders from your OneDrive, check your Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac) to see if your files are there. Deleted online-only files will not appear in your computer's Recycle Bin or Trash.
- Open File Explorer and search for Recycle Bin.
- Select and right-click on the File or Folders you want to recover, and select Restore.
- The file or folder will be restored to its original folder.
- Open Trash on your device.
- Select the files or folders you want to recover, then right-click > Put back.
- The file or folder will be restored to its original folder.
