Tags macos vpn

To use the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN on a Mac, you need to allow the VPN to install a kernel extention (kext).

  • Open System Preferences.

  • Go to Security & Privacy.

  • In the General tab, click the lock icon at the bottom-left.

  • If you're prompted, enter your Mac username and password or authenticate your Touch ID.
  • Once the lock is unlocked, click the Allow button next to where it says "System software from developer 'Palo Alto Networks' was blocked from loading." Once that is complete, you should be able to connect to the VPN.
