Duo is the university two-factor authentication method designed to add a second layer of security to your NetID account. Verifying your identity using a second factor, such as your phone or a security key, prevents anyone but you from logging in, even if they know your password.
UTD NetIDs are generally based on an individual's affiliation with the University of Texas at Dallas. However, individuals who are not eligible for a NetID can receive one if sponsored by a current UTD Faculty or Staff member.
Service or System Accounts are NetID accounts that are created for a specific service or system to perform actions as a user.
NetID is a network account used to access campus computing resources. Your NetID is associated with a network password that is used to authenticate most UTD resources.
The Password Reset Service enables you to change your password through self-service.
Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication service that enables users to log in with a single ID and password to many applications and related software systems.
The Texas Schools Project VPN uses Duo provided by UT Dallas for authentication. This service is for Texas Schools Project technical staff only to request assistance or changes within Duo.
Digital Certificates are available to digitally sign email messages.
