Purpose
If you find that your mailbox is a little low on storage space and you need to find a quick fix. Deleting emails from the deleted items folder is a great place to start, as deleted emails do take up storage space while in your deleted folder. Here are the steps to clear out this folder.

Procedure
- Open the Outlook Desktop client or Outlook Web Version.

- Go to the Deleted Items folder.
- Right click the Deleted Items folder and select Empty Folder.

- You will get a prompt saying that you will permanently delete everything in the folder. Click Yes.
- This may take a few minutes depending on how many emails are in the folder.

- If you prefer to review emails, you may open the Deleted Items folder, sort messages by size, and delete the largest files first to clear space.
